Dr. Balcer is Professor and Vice Chair of Neurology, Population Health and Ophthalmology where she co-leads a national collaborative clinical and research efforts in the neuro-ophthalmology of multiple sclerosis (MS) and sports-related concussion. She previously was on the faculty of the Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where her primary research focus was on the identification and development of clinical visual outcome measures for multiple sclerosis trials and determining which clinical tests best identify visual dysfunction in patients with MS.
