Associate Manager, New Frontiers in Regenerative Medicine

Frequency Therapeutics (Nasdaq: FREQ) is a leader in the development of medicines designed to activate progenitor cells within the body to treat degenerative diseases. The company’s lead product candidate, FX-322, is a potential disease modifying therapy designed to regenerate damaged auditory hair cells to improve hearing function. In a Phase 1/2 study of FX-322, the company observed clinically meaningful improvement in key measures of hearing function in patients with sensorineural hearing loss, the most common form of hearing loss. A Phase 2a study is anticipated to begin in Q4 2019. The Frequency progenitor cell activation (PCA) approach stimulates progenitor cells to create functional tissue and the company is researching an array of additional degenerative diseases where PCA may be applied, including a discovery program in multiple sclerosis.

The Associate Manager, New Frontiers Science in Regenerative Medicine, reports to the Senior Manager, and will identify and advance research programs across the company’s PCA technology platform. The Associate Manager will work with corporate strategy to source new technologies and identify early stage programs to build our pipeline and expand our platform.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with the senior management on identifying and evaluating new areas for platform applications from technical, business, and clinical standpoints
  • Partner with academic leaders to identify novel PCA technologies
  • Perform deep technical diligence on potential applications
  • Travel to relevant conferences to find opportunities and meet with Key Opinion Leaders

Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD in biological sciences or related scientific field
  • 2+ years of work experience in Industry. VC/BD experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills
  • Proven ability to identify and evaluate new technology opportunities
  • Deep knowledge of regenerative medicine or developmental biology preferred
  • Experienced in the development and management of projects
